Our Story
From Orange Groves
to Solar Panels
When Italian immigrant Joseph BonJorn arrived in Clermont, Florida, he saw a community that needed reliable power. In 1952, he opened Advance Electric — and his first jobs were wiring the massive pump motors in the orange groves and packing houses that defined Central Florida.
Over seven decades, the BonJorn family grew with Clermont. As the city evolved from a rural citrus town into a thriving community, Advance Electric evolved right alongside it — always staying ahead of what homeowners and businesses needed most.
Today, that same family dedication powers the region's smartest homes with solar energy, keeps the lights on for commercial clients like Duke Energy and Spectrum Cable, and charges a new generation of electric vehicles.
